Ain’t No Mountain High Enough

Yesterday was our very last class! We had a final assignment to go to the National Museum of Scotland and find two things that stood out to us. I snapped just a couple pictures:

After the museum Zach, Quinn, Troy, Audrey and I decided to climb the mountain again! This time we went up to Arthur’s Seat which is the highest point of the mountain. It was quite the hike but the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen.

We like to call this one “Pride Rock” like in Lion King. This is the mountain we climbed last time

We went down that path

After a nice hike up the mountain we decided to take it easy instead of dancing and the three boys and myself went out for a delicious Chinese dinner.

Sweet and sour...how original!

This morning our professor held office hours so he could give us feedback on our outlines/final papers. Last night a few girls and myself came up with the idea to do paper plate awards for each person on the trip. It was so much fun! Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of this on my camera but Zach was given the “Best Singer/Songwriter” Award and I got the “Most Fun To Be Around” Award. It was a good way to bring everyone together and I think they got a big kick out of it.
After the awards we gave Professor Magee and Rebekka bottles of champagne with all of our signatures on them. Magee was very emotional today which made the class a little teary-eyed! Please keep him in your prayers--12 years ago today he was in a terrible car accident leaving him with only one leg. It has been fantastic learning from him this past month.

After “class” and lunch, another group of us went right back up to Arthur’s Seat. This time it rained!

The rain was coming!

I loved being able to go up the mountain three times while we were here, the sights were incredible.
Tonight everyone is packing and taking it easy because about 10 of us have a 3 am wake up call tomorrow morning. For dinner we are going to the Salisbury Arms, a really nice pub, as one last hoorah. We will be arriving in Grand Rapids tomorrow around 7:40 pm.

Updates to come, with love!
