Odds & Ends

The last few weeks have consisted of putting odds and ends together because we are already half way through June! I’ve been running around finding out more information about adapters, converters, suitcases, train tickets, international phone plans, clothing, books, my passport, etc. It has been slightly overwhelming but only making this trip more real! I also received another document from Regent’s College, where I will be studying in London.

I will be working just about everyday until the two days of class at MSU on July 2nd and 3rd and then I will be in packing mode........which will be an experience in and of itself. 

One thing I know I will be packing for fun is my new Kindle!!! What a great addition to the trip and perfect for the long plane/train rides.

Plans

The opportunities and lessons and beauty and joy ahead are thrilling. I can’t stop thinking about summer in Europe and what this study abroad trip will teach me. So much more than I can imagine, I’m sure.

The plans:

Overnight flight to London to arrive on July 7

London, UK: July 7-20   --  July 12-15 in Paris, France

Cambridge, UK: July 21-24

Edinburgh, Scotland: July 24-August 4  --  July 27-30 in Dublin, Ireland

Departing from Edinburgh early on August 4 to arrive back in the US that evening

I will be spending three nights in Paris from July 12th-15th with two friends and my boyfriend. The 14th is also Bastille Day, or the French National Holiday, so I am preparing myself for quite the whirlwind of a weekend! There’s also a possibility of a day or one night trip to see Stonehenge and the town of Bath toward the end of July. The plans for Dublin have yet to be finalized.

I’m more than ready for a month of European adventures!
