Saying Goodbye to Cambridge

Cambridge was a short, delightful visit. As I mentioned before, it was a perfect break from the hustle and bustle of the big city scene. Today we had two lectures and went down to the Orchard Tea Garden where Rupert Brooke wrote his poetry, had lunch at The Green Man, and punted down the river. The pictures of the beautiful buildings are all different colleges within the University of Cambridge.

It was in the 70s and sunny all day! What a treat

Lunch on MSU’s dime. I originally ordered an expensive steak but they ran out so I went with the obvious second choice...a burger

Prof. Magee...reminding me slightly of Mugatu from Zoolander with those sunglasses on

Amazing dessert! Creme brulee and cheesecake

Punting down the Cam

After we punted down the river we had dinner, went to The Granta Pub, and came back to the courtyard for some Euchre. Today was fun and relaxing and to be honest I wish we had a few more days to explore Cambridge. Tomorrow morning we are hopping on a train back to London only to get on another train to Edinburgh, which will be about 6 hours of traveling. I hear it’s going to be a lot colder and we won’t be as lucky with the sun but I am more than excited to get to Scotland.

Updates to come, with love!
